1 MODUL

IAMT
introduction

This modul will give students an overview of Osteopathy, Manual Therapy and applied Kinesiology

The student will learn, why is importat to act holistic, to know the necessity of intergration in the thepary and to adapt tecnics to different kinds of dysfunction and restrictions.

The modul provides not only a global view and tecnics, but also the oportunity of creat from the beginnen a possibility to experiement how tecnics can be combinded and intergrate in the daily clinic practise.

The focus of modul one ist not the treatment but the understanding of integration and adaptation of three systems.

2 MODUL

BODY SCREENING(Marlon Buriti D.O) (Muscle Skeletal, Visceral and Cranio Sacral screening)
A good diagnostic is the base for a good treatment, the body screening is a holistic system of Diagnostic, wich will guide the therapist trough the body, taking in consideration all aspects that can influence their health using manual techniques. (only for students IAMT)

3 MODUL

MUSCULOSKELETAL SYSTEM 1
In this Module the student will be introduces at the Musculoskeletal system. Here we will focus on the understanding e of the development of mesodermal derivate, their dysfunction and treatment.

4 MODUL

THE VISCERAL SYSTEM 1
This Modul will focus on the visceral system, dysfunction and treatment.
(only for students IAMT)

5 MODUL

CRANIOSACRAL SYSTEM
Visceral cranium, parietal cranium, integration
Here we will deepen our Knowledge in the cranial screening and focus on the diagnosis and treatment of cranial dysfunctions. (open course)

6. MODUL

MUSCULOSKELETAL SYSTEM 2
Lower back , thoracic spine, neck, integration
This course will deepen the knowledge the body screening and focus on the mobilisation and manipulation of Lower bahas the goal to train the students

Inner organs, the dura mater, integration

MASTER CLASS AND EXAMINATION
Integrative functional embryology model

SECOND YEAR

All students have to undergo 3 supervisions of 350 kr pr session during second year.

Vision

The need for a new concept in manual medicine was first felt when I realized some of the limitations in exercising my own therapy. During my practice, first as a physiotherapist later as an osteopath, it became clear that a mix of techniques and principals is indeed necessary to actually help patients. The combination of complimentary techniques was key in supporting the body during its healing process. Interesting to notice, was that not many different techniques are needed to bring the body into balance, just one or two combined.
Therefore the next step was to identify which techniques work effectively together. Through practice experience and research, I have developed the Integrative and Adaptive Manual Therapy (IAMT).
The IAMT is a low impact way of effectively treating assorted disorders and dysfunctions. It is a very useful tool for therapists wanting to create their own specific techniques while at the same time combining principals already known.
The main purpose of IAMT is to promote a more holistic medical approach of combining complementary and/or orthodox systems in a different way, but always in an easy and safe form. Independent of the therapist’s education, background or philosophy, the main idea is to help each other and others to improve health and awareness about themselves and their own environment.

IAMT is collaborating with ’Grain to Green’. There will be a possibility of internship abroad in Tanzania. Read more about the project.
